Whoa! So much generosity, fundraiser complete!

Once again I find myself flabbergasted by the level of community support we receive from our users. In just over two weeks we have raised just over L$1.3 million lindens between Gacha sales and donations! This will be more than enough to keep us going for a few more years.

Our server admin has already upgraded us to one new server and you should see faster download times as a result. He’s now very busy working to upgrade and migrate all our other things over to a better server too. There is even enough now to cover our Kakadu license renewal, possibly for two years!

The Firestorm team and I are forever grateful and appreciative for the support we receive from our community.

However, we must put a stop to this madness … for taxation reasons anyways. So we’re going to stop stocking the shelves with gachas and call this fund raiser successful and complete—but there is still quite a lot of stuff still available!   • It is impossible to use the latest version of Firestorm Relseassex64 5.1.7 55786. The viewer crashes in a way that is only possible to return to SL using CTRL + ALT + DEL and close the viewer and starting again. What happens to this version that we cannot use satisfactorily?

  • Saviky, when you say “we”, you are sort of implying that your problem is actually some sort of widespead issue, and that many people cannot use the viewer. I can assure you that the viewer does not have some inherent flaw that would make it behave in the way you are experiencing. The vast majority of users are running version 5.1.7 with no issues. From experience, issues like the one you describe are usually specific to an end users system (low end hardware specs, possible conflicting programs running on a system, bad settings in the viewer preferences causing stability issues). Since the blog isn’t a place for this sort of discussion, I would encourage you to open a support ticket at https://jira.phoenixviewer.com so that someone can help you troubleshoot the issue.

  • this update will not work for me !!!!! I have uninstalled reinstalled both the 64 bit and 32 it and still all i get is a white screen and loading for over 5 mins then i have to ctrl alt del to end task :S :@ FFS so Frustrated
