New website for a new year!
Tada! Surprise! Shock, oooo and Awww!
Update your bookmarks and favorites! We have a new website and just like the Firestorm Viewer it has customizable skins too! Just to your right is a “customize it” section where you can change the colors to suit you best.
Also important to note we are no longer using blogger, instead we’ll be using wordpress here from now on. So please be aware that http://phoenixviewer.blogspot.ca is no longer active. You can subscribe to our new blog RSS, Twitter, Plurk and YouTube channels to the right.
I’ve also just created a flickr group and am in the process of setting that up so you folks can post photos you’ve taken from within the Firestorm or Phoenix viewers! Link to that is also on the right but I’ll drop it here as well. http://www.flickr.com/groups/firestormviewer/
We hope you like the new look and new flickr group and we’ll have another blog post with more news soon!

My chrome google reader plugin for RSS picked up the feed right away. I may wait a month to remove the old entry. I no longer need to sign in with my google account to comment. WordPress has always been more direct.

Fingers crossed for both you people, who have given us a wonderful viewer for free, and Linden Lab, who gave us SL (and Lag andBakefail and V2.0 and..ohshutup Ayesha). Go Firebirds!

Frohes Neues Jahr!
Was hiermit geschehe.
Hochachtungsvoll

Much clearer website and far easier to navigate. Hope you update the URLs on the logon page in the viewer soon so we can come direct to here. Well done all

A RSS feed for all the comment threads (like on the former blog) would be highly appreciated here, too. TIA!

I’m going to have to admit that I was very leery about this new viewer.. I am incredibly happy with it now after less than a week. Thank you all for all of the hard work you did, the volunteer hours you put in to make my second life experience just amazing!

Can you include a theme with white text on black background please? The white on grey is extremely hard to read for some people. Thanks!

Love the new blog. I’ve been using FS for some time now and like how “customizable” it is. And I was one of those die-hard Phoenix users.

The website’s name is certainly a given. I haven’t been on SL since October 2011 due to personal objectives, including catching up on RL and integrating a few things I learned on SL before coming back. I will probably return in less than a year if all my projects come to term.
In hopes to see Firestorm grow ever stronger and better than the SL regular viewer so that LL has a reason to try and make theirs better,

You’ve done the right thing by moving all focus to the Firestorm viewer. I never thought I’d say this but Firestorm truly is the best SL viewer currently available and is definitely the way forward. Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for using your personal free time to create a better virtual world for all of us. Keep up the good work!

WP is heaps better than blogger, so a big thumbs up for make a smart move. The only negative point in the bright red anchor link color. Albeit I’m one of the mature residents but given the age group of SL and that most use Firestorm maybe a change of anchor link color woulds not only help older eyes but young ones too.
